A SEASIDE ABODE>>
FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR
The Nida Holiday Home was envisioned as a serene retreat on Lithuania’s seaside, where natural surroundings meet thoughtful, compact design. For a family of four, the apartment balances practicality with atmosphere — offering a highly efficient layout that even accommodates two separate bathrooms, while never losing its sense of openness and calm. Large windows frame the pine forest and, just beyond it, the famous Neringa dunes, grounding the interior experience firmly in its unique landscape.
Every material in the project was chosen with care to echo this context. Travertine, linen, and wood define the palette, complemented by walls finished in clay plaster, which bring a subtle texture and a sense of breathing naturalness into the rooms. This tactile, authentic approach ensures the interior feels timeless and deeply connected to its environment. By limiting the selection to only natural finishes, the design gains a quiet honesty that does not compete with its surroundings but instead extends them inward.
A subtle Japandi influence runs throughout, aligning with the clients’ desire for an atmosphere of stillness and simplicity. The restrained geometry, clean lines, and soft tonalities work in harmony to create a holiday home that is more than just a temporary stay — it becomes a meditative backdrop for family life by the beach. In its calmness, the interior mirrors the rhythm of the seaside itself: tranquil, grounding, and enduring.
