Situated in the very heart of Kaunas Oldtown this two-bedroom apartment is a welcome back home sanctuary for it’s owners, a family of three. Because they are permanently living abroad, it was vital to create that homey feeling once back in the motherland.
The idea was to create a perceptible environment that would elevate all human senses to a calm and stable mode. Quality materials were selected in order to pursuit timelessness. Reduced forms, bespoke cabinet furniture, tactile surfaces, natural materials and a neutral, harmonious earth palette became a trademark visual language of this residence.
Swedish concept of Lagom describes perfectly the philosophy behind: the harmonious balance point at which nothing more needs to be added or taken away.
