OUR SPACE IS A UNIQUE BALANCE BETWEEN BRUTALIST SOLITUDE & FEMININE SOFTNESS, BLENDING RAW ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS WITH WARM, VINTAGE TOUCHES.
To bring life and character into the space, we incorporated vintage B&B Italia chairs and a stunning Murano glass wall lighting fixture - both of which add warmth to the overall moody atmosphere. Our color palette is deeply earthy, rich, and lush, with an emphasis on varied textures to ensure the surfaces feel dynamic rather than flat.
One of the space’s most unique features is its raw concrete columns and ceiling, which we felt had to be preserved to honor the industrial loft context. At just 36m², the studio is compact yet exceptionally well-planned (cheers to the good designers) a spacious, fully-equiped kitchen and restroom/meeting room sit upstairs, while the first floor is dedicated to focused work. A tiny yet functional bathroom is tucked under the stairs and our sample closet is cleverly hidden behind nubuck curtains.
Two key statement pieces define our petite loft.
A Custom-Commissioned Fresco by Linas Kaziulionis
Our travels always serve as inspiration, and during Copenhagen’s 3 Days of Design, we visited the Black Diamond Library, where the painted ceilings left a lasting impression.
Inspired by this, we meticulously searched for an artist who could interpret this idea in their own way. After thorough research, we found Linas, whose artistic style resonated perfectly with our vision.
B Custom-Made Stone Work Table
The story of this 700kg masterpiece began when our team wandered through the extensive stone selection factory. We were immediately drawn to broken pieces of exquisite Nero Marquina black marble and envisioned them as the table’s legs. The front of the legs is raw and broken, while the back is polished - intentionally showcasing different texture and finish possibilities and different faces of the nature.
The countertop is made of polished Swedish limestone, that was available only in smaller blocks. Instead of opting for a seamless slab, we embraced the modular approach, incorporating circular lines to add a sense of movement. The countertop sits slightly off-center on the legs to create a dynamic, non-static form.
Lighting was another crucial element in our design process. We created a lighting scheme that adapts to different moods and functions. During the day, the space is set for focused work, while in the evening, it transforms into an intimate gathering spot for enjoying a glass of Barolo with friends. To achieve this versatility, all our lights are dimmable and reflected rather than direct. Incorporated into the linear form of the ceiling, custom-made LED fixtures enhanced the space’s ambiance. Of course, special attention was given to illuminating the fresco, ensuring its presence remains a focal point within the studio.
Our journey to creating this studio has been one of passion, creativity, and collaboration.
